We believe there is a lack of beauty in popular culture. With fake messages and ugly tactics promoting questionable brands, what is the public to believe? House of Gul was founded in 2014 to address this epidemic and help bring beauty to the world, based in Portland OR, the city of roses. Focusing on creating designs and content for meaningful companies that are pushing culture forward. While failing to find an agency that created fresh conceptual and experimental designs for socially conscious brands, Ali decided to just create his own design studio. Starting in his moms basement, fresh samosas and persian poetry would fuel his creative spirit. 

Gül (noun): Turkish & Farsi for “Rose”.


House of Gül now works with international brands, non-profits and leading cultural institutions to create emotionally impactful designs, branded content, digital experiences & social media campaigns. Utilizing a Human Centered Design approach, the agency empathically listens to get to the center of marketing challenges and then formulates creative ideas and brings them to life in order for clients to continuously flourish. House of Gül also creates art and develops creative projects for personal exploration and emotional inquiry.
